Today we are 15 people of diverse origins, backgrounds and nationalities who assemble into a troup.

SON YA 12 AÑOS

En 2008 algunos/as recién salíamos de la Escuela Internacional del Gesto y la Imagen La Mancha, con muchas historias que contar, y la arrogancia y el ánimo intactos. Hoy ya van seis montajes, gente nueva, mucha dedicación, muchos errores, muchos misterios, muchos kilómetros y un poco menos de arrogancia.

It’s already been twelve years. In 2008 some of us were barely out of La Mancha International School of Image and Gesture with many tales to tell, and with our arrogance and disposition intact. It’s now been six stagings along with new people, heaps of dedication, many mistakes, many mysteries, many miles and a bit less arrogance.

 

En este tiempo nos hemos centrado en contar historias sencillas y cercanas, con temas que atañen e interpelan al espectador/a y que nos conmueven. Obras donde podemos hablar desde nosotros/as mismos/as, del ser humano, de sus fragilidades, sus miserias, sus miedos. Hemos ido entendiendo que en cada nuevo trabajo debemos aventurarnos a crear, y que eso no es garantía de éxito; pero sí ha permitido la aparición de un lenguaje propio, lúdico, poético, visual, emotivo, ridículo, que vehicula la historia que contamos y se centra en la utilización coherente del objeto, una visualidad cuidada y detallada y una búsqueda de sensorialidad en la construcción de imágenes.

Through this period we’ve centered ourselves on telling straightforward and relatable stories, with themes that concern and involve the viewer and are moving to us. Plays where we can speak from ourselves, about the human being, it’s fragilities, its miseries and fears. We’ve come to understand that in every new work we must venture into creation, and that doing so does not warrant success; but it has allowed for the appearance of a language of our own, playful and poetic, visual, emotive, silly, which channels the story we tell and centers on the coherent use of the object, a cared-for and detailed visuality and a search for sensoriality in the construction of images.

Los peces no vuelan (2009), Las cosas también tienen mamá (2012), Juan Salvador Tramoya (2012), La niña de Canterville (2015), Malè, concierto teatral de Inti Illimani Histórico (2018) y Mocha Dick (2019). Todas creadas a fuerza de cariño, respeto, tesón y mucho trabajo. En este tiempo nuestros espectáculos han sido reconocidos con 14 premios y menciones internacionales, y se mantienen todos vigentes presentándose en distintas partes de Chile y del mundo, para públicos de todas las edades.

Our plays. Each and every one of them crafted through loving, tenacious, and respectful hard work. Since we started our shows have been granted 14 awards and international accolades, and continue to be performed around Chile and the world, for audiences of all ages.
